Most of us have always though of France as a capitol of gourmet food, great wines, fancy cheese and baguette. But have any of us thought about french people actually eating this stuff?
Well, it turned out that eating habits of the majority of people in France are not as posh as we think. According to Food and Wine the French agency for food, environmental and occupational health and safety, released its third study on the eating habits of the French people yesterday. The organization surveyed 5,800 people (young children, teenagers, and adults as old as 79) to figure what the typical person living there eats. They found that average french person consumes too much salt, not enough fiber and a little much of processed foods.
The study points out that the number of obese 15- to 17-year-olds has increased six percent, while adult obesity has gone up five percent since 2007.
